kuch peeche ruk gaye to kuch aage nikal gaye
Haalaat ki dhoop zaraa si deir ko tez kya hui
jitne wafaa kay patthar the… saare pighal gaye
Waado ke taare raato se baahar na jaa sake
iraado ke… din nikalne se pehle hee dhal gaye
Wafaaon ke rang shabnam kay qatroo ne dho diye
mohabbat ke phool jazboo ki 'shiddat' se jal gaye
Taano ke teer duniya kee kamaano pe jab chadhe
sabar ke daaman haathoo se ekdum phisal gaye
Aankhein khulei to khaaboo ko bura laga magar 
kuch der wo reh ke khafa humse wo khud hi behal gaye
Pehle pehal to ajeeb lage badle huwe chehre
phir yu huwa k waqt ke saath hum bhi sambhal gaye
